Your journey begins with an early transfer from your hotel to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport for your flight to Luxor.

Upon arrival at Luxor International Airport, you will meet your guide and travel directly to Luxor’s West Bank to discover the historical wonders of the Theban Necropolis, including the Valley of the Kings, the beautifully designed Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the towering Colossi of Memnon.

The Valley of the Kings

This magnificent necropolis contains the tombs of the pharaohs and powerful nobles of Egypt’s New Kingdom. The tombs were carved deep into the limestone mountains of Thebes and decorated with scenes illustrating the journey of the deceased into the eternal afterlife.

More than sixty tombs have been discovered in the valley. Their detailed carvings and beautifully preserved colours make the Valley of the Kings one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt.

The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Queen Hatshepsut was one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable rulers and one of the few women to become pharaoh. Her extraordinary mortuary temple is distinguished by its unique architectural design.

Built against the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, the temple features three impressive terraces constructed one above another, creating perfect harmony with the surrounding mountain landscape.

The Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two imposing statues standing approximately 17 metres high. They represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III seated on his throne and wearing the royal nemes headdress.

The statues once guarded the entrance to the pharaoh’s enormous mortuary temple, which was largely destroyed in antiquity. Smaller figures beside his legs represent his mother and his wife.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey to Luxor’s East Bank.

Karnak Temple Complex

Explore the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, where you can admire architectural additions representing approximately 1,600 years of ancient Egyptian history.

The complex features enormous columns, beautifully decorated walls, statues, ceilings, and towering obelisks. It was primarily dedicated to Amun, the principal god of the New Kingdom.

At the end of the day, you will be transferred to Luxor International Airport for your return flight to Sharm El Sheikh.

Upon arrival at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred comfortably back to your hotel.
