A magical night from Sharm El-Sheikh, Taba or Dahab
The monastery of Saint Catherine is a true abode of solitude, as Pierre Loti noted in 1894 in his account of his journey through Sinai. It is nestled at the bottom of a narrow valley and surrounded by desert mountains, one of which, Mount Moses (also called Mount Sinai or the mountain of Moses), is said to be the site of the “summit” meeting between God and Moses…. A biblical excursion!
This excursion allows you to live a unique experience: witness the sunrise over Sinai at the summit of Mount Moses where, according to the Bible, Moses received the tablets of the law.
The ascent of this Mount is full of unforgettable sensations in the company of “pilgrims”. With a little luck under a sky overflowing with stars (including shooting stars that will take your breath away).
At the summit, a rare moment of harmony, the sun rises, the sky in changing colors and the powerful silence has something magical, the mountain is ablaze and we are reborn with it.
On the descent we find one of the oldest monasteries in the world: the monastery of Saint Catherine then we finish with a walk in the Bedouin village which is located in the heart of Saint Catherine National Park.
