The Temple of Philae:
Located on the island of Agilika, in the heart of the Nile, this Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis is one of the best preserved in Egypt. Its peaceful and romantic setting, its splendid bas-reliefs, and the traces left by successive civilizations—Greeks, Romans, Christians, Muslims, and even the French during Bonaparte's expedition—make it a remarkable site.
The Unfinished Obelisk:
Left in its granite quarry, this monument, abandoned due to cracks, would have been, once erected, the largest obelisk in history (42 meters, 1,200 tons). It allows visitors to observe the carving techniques used by the ancient Egyptians.
