Itinerary
Morning departure to Aswan (240 km from Luxor) and on the way stop to visit:
Edfu Temple : Located halfway between Luxor and Aswan. Dedicated to the gods Horus dating from 2nd century BC. It is one of the most impressive building feats of the Ptolemaic dynasty. You can admire its gigantic walls covered with giant hieroglyphs and dazzling friezes. Its design and its architecture correspond to a very precise Pharaonic tradition, whether it concerns the schematic plan or the ornamentation of the rooms.
Kom Ombo Temple : Located 195 km south of Luxor and 45 km north of Aswan. It is erected on a hill which dominates the Nile and offers a spectacular panorama. It exudes a captivating charm by the finish of its columns and its frescoes in the colors of the sunset. Original and rare temple of its kind. It has two sanctuaries, respectively dedicated to Horus; the falcon-god and in Sobek; the crocodile god.
Arrival in Aswan and installation in your hotel.
Walk in the famous souk (market) of Aswan : Lively until late at night. Renowned for its thousand and one varieties of spices, its atmosphere and its Nubian colors and smells.

The Philae temple is located on the island of the same name. It is dedicated to the goddess ISIS, the wife of OSIRIS and is characterized by the finish and the elegance of its columns and its chapels.
The Aswan High Dam: a contemporary monument erected in 1970 by Nasser, the historic ruler of Egypt at the time. By its size and water retention capacity, it was the largest dam in the world. With its panoramic view of Lake Nasser, considered at the time to be the largest artificial lake in the world.
The site of the unfinished obelisk: An ancient granite quarry widely exploited in the time of the pharaohs to sculpt colossal statues and obelisks. This site still contains a failed obelisk which would have been the largest obelisk in Egypt with its 41m high and its 700 tons, but because of cracks that occurred during its size it was abandoned on the spot.

After breakfast at the hotel, departure by private air-conditioned vehicle to visit:
Abu Simbel (260 km south of Aswan). It is a site more than essential. It embodies the pinnacle of Egyptian pharaonic achievement in every way. This site is fascinating for the colors and paintings of its frescoes still in a good state of conservation. Hallucinating by the size of its so pharaonic colossi ..!!
Return from Abu-simbel to Aswan, arrive in the early afternoon
Sailing boat trip around Elephantine Island and visit to the botanical garden . To discover the captivating landscape of the banks of the Nile in Aswan but especially around Elephantine Island with the granite rocks scattered all over the Nile and around the island which have formed superb natural compositions;
A view of the Agha-Khan mausoleum in the neo-Fatimid style and the famous Old-Cataract hotel in the colonial style.
The botanical garden, founded at the end of the 19th century by the English general Kitchener (also called the island of Kitchener) which contains magnificent and numerous species of trees and exotic plants.
At the beginning of the evening transfer to Aswan station to take the first class train to Luxor.
Arrive in Luxor and transfer.
